Here we are, in the last week of this Summer Surrender Project. Have you thought of it that way throughout - as a project? It really is work to commit to reading your Bible, doing the devotions, following the prayer prompts, doing the writing assignments, walking and moving, and - the hardest work of all - surrendering.

Our flesh wants what it wants - but aligning our desires to be the same as those that God desires for us, that’s surrender, that is giving ourselves as an offering to God day in and day out.

It is my prayer for you, friend, that you have found peace in this process. I pray that you have found joy in letting yourself be known. I pray that all this will continue on an ongoing basis, even after this week is over, so that you will truly know that Jesus is on the throne of your heart.

Look at your family and your relationships - have you noticed any changes? Have you noticed your heart changing? Take a moment now to pray - ask the Holy Spirit to highlight for you the changes that have been made in your over the last 7 weeks.

This week, we are in James 4. Read the whole thing each day.
